An original circa 1840 hand painted wall hanging. A great looking piece which photos do not do justice. Painted onto a heavy hessian or canvas type fabric with metal rings for hanging. Looks like an embroidered tapestry at first sight but it is painted. There is wear to the paint work as you would expect where it has been rolled up and folded over the years. See all pics as they form part of the description. There is one small hole. Purchased from the London Antique Textile Fair a few years ago but unfortunately was too wide for the place I wanted to hang it. It’s s very lovely genuine antique piece. 70” wide x 34” deep
