Es war auch kein erfreuliches Bild, das sich ihr bot. Die Bäume im Park waren kahl und sahen im bleichen Morgenlicht wie vergessene Nachtgespenster aus. Es war Winter und kalt in New York. Jacinth sehnte sich nach Sonne und Wärme.

El de El pastor lobo, y una canción tradicional: Pastorcillo nuevo. El colmenero divino es una alegoría del Buen Pastor, de los evangelios: El Buen Pastor (Jesucristo) que apacienta el rebaño (Pueblo de Dios) y que busca a la oveja descarriada (pecador), y celebra su vuelta al redil (Celebración de la Eucaristía). En la obra la figura del Buen Pastor ha sido cambiada por la del Buen Colmenero, la oveja por la abeja y el lobo, la tentación del mundo, por el Oso. La abeja es tentada por el mal colmenero y por el oso, y al final vence las tentaciones, vuelve a la colmena, y obtiene el perdón.
