Le 7 mai 2018, c’est par un message de ma fille que j’ai appris son décès.Comme une somnambule, je suis allée vers mon ordinateur, j’ai ouvert un manuscrit qui y dormait et me suis mise à le relire. C’était dur de la retrouver dans cette absence, mais on aurait pu croire qu’elle m’y encourageait. Nous avions tellement envie qu’il sorte, ce livre... Il faut dire que nous y avions passé un temps fou !Il faut accepter la réalité : Claudine n’est plus joignable par téléphone, elle ne sera plus sur cette scène à laquelle elle était destinée... mais elle vit si fort dans ces pages !Je les relis, ses réponses, et je suis bouleversée par tout ce que j’y retrouve. Son humour, son intelligence, sa culture et ses doutes. Maurane n’était pas qu’une voix magnifique. Daria et Claudine (le vrai prénom de Maurane) se sont liées d’amitié à la fin des années 1970. Le jeu de l’intimité, composé de questions portant sur la spiritualité, la sexualité, le rapport à l’autre et à soi, a été créé par Daria. Un jour, elle a proposé à Maurane d’y jouer dans l’idée d’en faire un livre. Cette dernière a donc pioché et répondu selon son inspiration. Le lecteur a ici la possibilité de la rencontrer autrement, à travers des anecdotes parfois drôles, parfois graves, toujours personnelles. Cet ouvrage est également parsemé d’« intermèdes musicaux », avec des questions inspirées de chansons interprétées par Maurane. Une découverte de l’artiste sous un angle intime et inédit. Fille d’un noble russe émigré, Daria de Martynoff a commencé à écrire des chansons à l’âge de 13 ans. Elle s’est produite sur scène, a sorti quatre albums et a mis en scène plusieurs spectacles. Parolière, elle a notamment écrit pour Maurane, Georges Moustaki et Jane Birkin (dans le seul album sans Gainsbourg). Daria partage aujourd’hui son temps entre l’écriture et l’animation d’ateliers d’écriture et de cours intitulés « Le plaisir de chanter ». Elle se définit comme une « partageuse de créativité ».
