The author conducts a thorough analysis of 235 sermons, elaborating the pitfalls and benefits resulting from the interplay of text, tradition and sermon, and offers potential solutions to these challenges. Starting with an extensive exegetical commentary, this work explores and elucidates the biblical texts on justification from different exegetical and homiletical perspectives.
