The shell and buttons are also new. To change the brightness or color, there are 2 touch sensors on the top. Just tap in that location as shown in the picture to change brightness or color. You can also press and Hold select and press A or B.

If your GBP shell is not original Nintendo. It'll be tight. You can loosen a little screw. Rough edges will affect the hand feel. Just scrape them off with a knife.
