Es folgte die Aufnahme der im Süden gelegenen Rock Islands in die Liste der UNSCO- Welt- und -Naturerbestätten. 2015 wurde der kommerzielle Fischfang ganz verboten und die Hoheitsgewässer vollständig als Meeresschutzgebiet ausgewiesen. Die 4. komplett überarbeitete und erweiterte Auflage enthält neue Landaktivitäten. Der Adress- & Serviceteil mit Restaurant- und Hotelempfehlungen wurde ebenfalls aktualisiert. Zudem gibt es viel Wissenswertes zu erfahren über Geografie, Flora und Fauna, Geschichte, Kultur, Religion und natürlich die Tauchplätze. Judith und Christoph Hoppe kamen das erste Mal 2004 nach Palau, um am 3. Underwater Palau International Photo Festival teilzunehmen. Sie verfielen der Schönheit und Unberührtheit der Natur, der Liebenswürdigkeit der hier lebenden Menschen sowie den grandiosen Tauchplätzen und den Bemühungen Palaus um einen aktiven Schutz der Haie. Seitdem kehren sie regelmäßig nach Palau zurück und entdecken immer noch etwas Neues.
